A strong, financially healthy Instrumental Music Program at Grossmont High School is essential to provide rewarding, enriching, enjoyable music, and performance activities that will allow students to grow both personally and artistically. Unfortunately, the reality is that the Grossmont Union High School District provides funds which cover only the band director's salary, minimal transportation, and the basic operation of the band room.
Everything else is funded by your donations to GIMA.
There will be many opportunities for your student to participate in fundraising events throughout the year. We strongly encourage all students and families to participate! This year, we have been able to provide many different types of fundraisers in which to participate.
If you wish to make a donation via a credit/debit card you can do so by using Paypal. Click here to read more.

The Silent Auction & Dessert Show
Traditionally, this event used to be called the "Dessert Show" but grew into something larger than just Desserts! In recent year's it has been called the "Dessert Show and Silent Auction", but again the event has continued to grow and we are looking at making it even more spectacular! Keep and eye out for it's new name! In years past students, parents, and volunteers have created baskets containing items that have been donated by local businesses which are then auctioned off via "Silent Auction". There is also entertainment provided by the Instrumental Music Students, ColorGuard, and others in the community! The tentative date is May 18, 2019!
